Big data is a phrase which is being used very often these days. Irrespective of the industry, “Big Data” is a buzzword everyone claims to understand and wants to be associated with it in one way or another. “Big Data” is a term used for a very large dataset, dataset so large that it is practically impossible to process it using usual tools and with conservative methods. “Big Data” is responsible for the invention of new technologies, tools, and systems and thus responsible for creating the new field for specialization altogether.

Big Data and the Emerging Technologies

The new platform which was not in existence or they were in existence but were not used extensively, are now extremely common. Platforms like Hadoop and Spark are now very common. New job roles like Hadoop Developer, Spark Developer, Hadoop Administration, etc. are now flooding the job portals. To be able to handle that kind of data one needs expertise which they can be trained on.

Data Analytics has gone one step ahead and now it’s “Big Data” Analytics. Conventional analytics will not be sufficient for the analysis of “Big Data”. New job roles like Data scientist are very much in demand these days. In fact, Data Scientist has been declared the sexiest job of the 21st century.

Machine Learning is not entirely related to “Big Data” but has some relation to it. Machine Learning is, making machines make decisions by itself. To be able to do that you need to feed a lot of data to machines along with some algorithms. Machine learning is relatively new and has tremendous scope in the future. There will be a need for millions of resources who are experts in machine learning within the next 5 years.

Artificial Intelligence is probably the most talked about of all emerging technologies based on the effect it can have on the mankind. It can drastically change the way we do things today.

Internet of Things is one another technology being talked about in the technology circuit. The idea of making things “smart” is fascinating everyone and again just like all of the above technologies we have not even started with the internet of things making it the most potent of all technologies in the future.

All these technologies can be learned and should be learned because the future will belong to these technologies and someone who is an expert in any of these technologies will be in great demand. Cognixia provides training on all of the above-mentioned technologies. If you need more details about any of the courses it offers, feel free to contact us.
